Aloo-Palak

Aloo-palak:
Preparation time-20mins
Serves-4
Ingredients:
2 potatoes
250gms palak
1 big onion
2 green chillies
2 red chillies
1 sp mustard seeds
2 sps jeera
1 sp dhaniya
4 pods garlic
1 pinch turmeric
3 pinches salt
1/4 sp chilly powder
4 sps sunflower oil
Method:
  1. Seperate palak leaves and blanch them in warm water for 5mins.
  2. Peel the skin of aloo,cut them into cubes and cook them till soft.
  3. Take a sauce pan and heat oil in it.In hot oil,put mustard seeds and wait till they splutter.
  4. Reduce the heat.Now add jeera,crushed dhaniya,slit green chillies,crushed red chillies,turmeric,finely chopped garlic and saute them for2mins.
  5. Add thin,long sliced onions and fry till transparent.Sprinkle chillypowder and salt.Mix well.
  6. Drain cooked aloo and put them in the pan.fry for 2mins.
  7. Now add drained and chopped palak to this pan and close the lid for 5-7 mins on low flame.
  8. Good side dish with roti.Curds when added to this tastes delicious.
  9. You can also add a spoon of lemon juice if looking for a tangy taste.
