Capsicum masala

Capsicum masala:
Preparation time-20 mins
Serves-4
Ingredients:
2 Capsicum
2 onions
2 sp jeera
6 red chillies
1/2 sp chilly powder
1/2 cup chena dal
1/2 cup urad dal
3 sps dhaniya
4 pods garlic
4 sps ground nuts
2 flakes of tamarind
pinch of turmeric
4-5 pinches salt
7-9 sps of sunflower oil
Method:
  1. Chop onions and capsicum finely and keep aside.
  2. Heat a sauce pan,put 2sps of oil and after hot,fry chena dal,urad dal,dhaniya and 2 red chillies.Allow them to cool in a plate after brown.
  3. In the same pan put remaining oil and fry jeera,red chillies,garlic,groundnuts and onions for 2mins.
  4. Then add turmeric,chilly powder and capsicum.Mix them even and fry and fry for 5-7mins on low flame,closing the lid.
  5. Now grind the cooled dal,dhaniya and chillies adding tamarind flakes and salt into a fine powder.
  6. Test capsicum piece.When soft,add this powder to the pan.
  7. Mix it evenly and fry for 2more mins.
  8. Switch off the heat and close the lid for 4-5 mins.
  9. Tastes spicy.Can have with rice and roti.Good dish worth trying.
