Coconut chutney:Preparation time-15mins
Ingredients:
1 coconut
3 green chillies
2 red chillies
1 sp mustard seeds
1 sp urad dal
3 spns of tamarind paste
3-4 pinches salt
6-7 curry leaves
2 pods of garlic
3 spns sunflower oil
Method:
- Slit coconut and cut it into small pieces seperating it from the shell.
- Blend these in to a rough mix adding salt,green chillies,garlic and tamarind paste in a mixer.Keep it aside.
- Prepare seasoning with hot oil in a sauce pan.Splutter mustard seeds in it first.
- Then put ural dal,curry leaves.Crush red chillies and add to the pan.
- Switch off the heat and add the blended coconut to the pan.
- Mix it evenly and wait for a min closing the lid.
- Its ready to taste now.Excellent dip for dosa and idly.
