Moong-onion dosa

Ingredients:
1 cup moong dal
1/2 cup raw rice
20 gms ginger
2 medium sized onions
5 green chillies
2 sps jeera
6-7 pinches salt
100ml sunflower oil
Procedure:
  1. Soak rice and moong dal 6-8hrs or overnight in water.
  2. Next day grind the drained dal and rice into a semisolid consistency adding salt,finely chopped ginger and some water.
  3. Add jeera to the ground mix and collect in a bowl.Keep it aside for an hour.Tastes better when left for fermentation for 5-6hrs.
  4. Finely chop onions and green chillies.
  5. Preheat a flat nonstick pan for 4-5mins.
  6. When it is hot enough,spread a big spoon of this batter into thin and even layer on pan.
  7. Put a handful of onions and chillies on this layer.Drop a half tea spoon of oil around it.
  8. Now simmer the flame and close it with a lid for a min.
  9. Carefully take out the fried dosa on to a plate.
  10. You will really appreciate its spicy taste when accompanied with ginger chutney.Its really good for health as made of pulses and ginger.
