Sweet and Spicy Mango curry

Mango Curry:
Preparation time-20mins
Serves-2
Ingredients:
1 mango(not too ripe)
2 small tomatoes
2 onions(medium sized)
3 sps urad dal
1 sp mustard seeds
2 sps jeera
3 pods garlic
7-8 curry leaves
3 green chillies
2 red chillies
3 sps tamarind paste & 1/2 spoon chilly powder
4 pinches salt & a pinch of turmeric
6 sps sunflower oil
Method:
  1. Take 2 sps oil in a sauce pan.Heat it and fry urad dal for a min.
  2. Cut onion and tomato into 4pieces each and fry in that pan for 2 min.Now add slit green chillies,garlic to it and fry for a min.
  3. Allow it to cool keeping aside.
  4. Heat remaining oil in the pan and allow mustard seeds to splutter.Add red chillies,jeera,curry leaves to it and fry for a min.
  5. Add long sliced onion and fry for 2mins.Add equally cut mango pieces and fry for 2 more mins.
  6. Meanwhile grind fried dal,tomato,garlic and onion into a fine paste adding some salt.
  7. Add paste to the pan.Add turmeric and chilly powder.
  8. On low heat add 3-5 sps of water,mix it evenly.Close lid for 5mins.
  9. Switch off and serve hot.
  10. Best combination with rice.You will appreciate its sweet and spicy taste.
