Coriander leaf chutney

Coriander leaf chutney:
Preparation time-15mins
Serves-8
Ingredients:
250 gms of Coriander
1/4 cup chena dal
1/4 cup urad dal
1 sp mustard seeds
10 dry red chillies
8 green chillies
2 pinches hing
2 sps tamarind paste
3-4 pinches salt
3 sps sunflower oil
Method:
  1. Wash and seperate coriander leaves and keep them aside.
  2. In a sauce pan,heat oil and on low flame fry chena dal,urad dal into mild,light brown.Take care not to over fry them as that alters the taste.
  3. Now switch off the heat and add dry red chillies,hing to it and saute for few seconds.
  4. Take them into a plate and allow it to cool.
  5. Meanwhile in the same pan,heat 1sp of oil and prepare tempering for chutney with mustard seeds and a spoon of urad dal,3 red chillies.
  6. After the fried dal and chillies comes to room temperature,grind it for a minute adding tamarind paste and green chillies.
  7. Then add coriander and salt to the grinder with dal and grind it again for few seconds,you can add 2-3 sps of water.
  8. The ground chutney should be coarse.
  9. Season it with the prepared tempering.Serve.
  10. Tastes good with rice and even with breakfast items.
